Dear IR fans,
People seem to be under the erroneous impression that Illaiyaraja is arrogant, proud and headstrong. Do you think there is any element of truth in this? In my opinion, he is honest, straightforward, and does not have any hypocrisy. He says what it takes guts to express. In my opinion this has been misconstrued as being arrogant and proud. There have been many occasions when he has proved that he is modest. Just because he does not give too many interviews (like others) to counter various allegations against him, he has been given these adjectives. What do you all think? Can tell me of occasions which prove that he is immodest or arrogant, or otherwise?

What the heck does this topic have to do with TFM (merely because it has IR's name in the heading)?
Subra,
Either get a life or start the following threads too:
1. What does IR feed his dogs in the morning - Regular mOr saadham or 'Puppy Chow'?
2. What kind of old sarees does Mrs. IR barter for new 'paaththirams'?
3. IR's kurtha vs. MSV's Jibba vs. ARR's pachcha shirt - A study in compare and contrast.

This thread seems to take a redundant diversion because of the "hot" outbursts of my DF friends !! oops..never knew there were so many advantages and disadvantages!! It takes a while and effort to think about it !!kudos !!
The question relevant here is if the name makes any difference until the posting is sane. If I say I am Murali from my first posting, I am Murali else I am Krishna. Does an indian name make a difference in the content that is expressed ? Does it make me more "manly" ? In which case I would like to rest my case as I am pretty much masculine and need no boost. In maintaining anonymity for a while , I found that I have had fun with my fellow DFers and never a word of repentance. May be pesudonyms matter if some postings are obscene enough to provoke. But right from the administrator of the threads - (sorry to drag you bb), everybody is enjoying pesudonyms.
A regular DFer with sane content and clear expression is what this forum requires. IMO, it does not insist on using your "original" name to present yourselves. To me it matters the least.
sorry for the digression folks. Anyway this thread was not going to get much response as perceived by "VeruththuppOnavan"

MS,
I respond because I respect you as a DFer. I never said an Indian name makes a difference, but I reserve the right to appreciate a pure Thamizh name such as Saravanan Kuppusamy over Aluththupponavan. Maintaining a single identity means your words are accountable, spoken by a true person whose passion and taste birthed the words on the post. Discussion and debates with you will have a purpose and will actually be about something rather than talking to infantile ghosts. A pseudonym is fun, sure, but that's not all it is, it allows for pot shots, obscenity and unaccountability. It can easily derail a valid discussion with irreverence. This is my view (yes, I'm allowed to have one) and you have stated yours, that's fine. Now we know where we stand don't we? If my post helped in easing your masculine, hot and bothered state, I feel happy about it.

No offence was taken by me that the motivation behind 'anonymity' deemed queastionable behavior. But I am definitely taking offence, that the so-called seasoned posters like Udhaya, MS, Rex, and 'you too' Sriram Lakshman have not taken the initiative to start a topic based on my suggestions. if you have a problem with this thread, you better say so, and having done with it, leave the others to continue what in your (overbearing) opinion is a stupid discussion. get-smart comments like IR-veettu nai may get you some pats from fellow-cynics, and give you a false sense of belonging to the WWF, where you think that 'meesa-vacha-aambilai' is your passport to being offensive. move on, buddy!
