Hero / Heroine Intro songs !

I had always wanted to compile an album of cool dance songs that introduced the Hero or Heroine. Was this trend started by Maniratnam ? For eg.
Hero based :
- Raja Rajathi Raja - Agni Natchathiram
- Vidiya Vidiya - Idhaiyathi Thirudathe
and we have a lot of similar songs these days for Prashanth, Ajith and Vijay and now Madhavan.

Heroine based :
- Revathi Rain song in Punnagai Mannan (very good one by IR)
- Atthadi Ammadi - Idhaiyathai Thirudathe
- Revathi's song in the city - Mouna Ragam

Can you add to this list and also include the oldies fron 80s, 70s and 60s ?

  All the songs you mentioned comes long after the hero or heroine got introduced.
  
  In agni natchathiram first frame itself will show 'karthik' and the song comes after a 3 reels.

  Kamal's "Raja kaiya vacha" is a group dance song...maybe that qualifies, more in the lines of what I was asking for....
  MGR's Pudhiya Vanam is a Hero specific song...

  This is sure. Neeya neeya endhan kadhali from enakkul oruvan (for Kamal).
  Then Prabhu was introduced with a similar song in Chinna Maple...
