  Deva's Symphony No:001
  
  1. Spring, from the Four Brothers (honoring his brothers)
  
  2. My romance with the Raaja (Immediate salutations to Maestro Ilayaraaja)
  
  3. Why I cannot name it? (Becos, it is not his!)
  
  4. Adhanda idhanda vettunadha otEnda (you guessed it! a tribute to his cut and paste ability! )
  
  5. One for Beethoven (Remembering this genius is inevitable, as his Fur Elise is the most copied among the music circle)
  6. Not a surprise 2nd movement, Forgive me Haydn!!(It so happened that Deva and Co were arriving at a full theme with variations and voila, they found to their surprise that someone had already created the same movements. An investigation by the brothers reveals the fact that the author of the movement is the mighty Haydn! The brothers wasted no time in naming this piece after Haydn's Surprise)
  7. I am on my own. (Deva's dream comes true here! He does this score when his "fearsome foursome" were on a short recess from the round table they were brewing the music!!
  8. Aspirations!!(eppiraviyilum, naan indha naalvarOda annanaa pirakkavEnum, kadavulE (thambiyaa pirandha oor oorra thorathuvaangapa! vEndavE vEndaam)You are bound to shed tears listening to this "movement" The entire theme is
  played using the instruments borrowed from some Hungarian artists who were in India recently. Nothing like borrowing, you see!!)
  9. I would if I could, but I cant so I wont! (This is the most appealing and moving "movement" in the entire classical creation. Here, close sources say, Deva the corporeal MD is said to have gotten into fight with Deva the supernal, conscience-struck and Deva the MD is said to have won! Look at that! He admits that he cannot do it on his own!! Great inner quality thats turned out into good music. He has humbly selected 'Autumn, the Four Seasons' by Vivaldi to express his feelings!! Great!! Listen and you feel you are at the end of your life!!
  10. Farms to Fantasies (Deva recollects his "VayaLum Vazhvum" days in TV and starts the movement with the same old vayalum vazhvum title tune. You can feel the grasslands, you can feel the thEnisai thenral nerudifying your body like an aruvi! Oh! What a feeling!

  It is not necessary for Deva to wait till IR's symphony to be released to start his hard work. Deva ippo romba munnEri vittaar. He can directly start working hard on the available symphony by westerners. Don't underestimate Deva's domain. He is now out of India.

  Yes, I agree with you Bhaskar, but, i also feel helpless as Deva goes on to say that he loves to create a symphony. I feel the so called symphony is a big fiasco (at least after Deva's exposition!!)This word has been grossly misused
  in our part of the country! The struggle to bring out such musical wonders, in the past, in the 17th century and later on, is just inexplicable.
  Here, the Lord of Music, Raaja, scores a symphony, in 1994, and says only the God should release his symphony (he almost said that!) and followed by Deva, the work of symphony seems to be just as easy as knocking down nine pins!!! This is what is lamentable! Not the ambitions of a man called Deva! But the target set by the so called MD called Deva!! Then, all the lampooning and joking is just and welcome. I did not hesitate to
  dress down Raaja in this issue which you should note!! Of course, our collective lambasting can definitely be directed toward the entire flock of baton-wielding men that use this word for no reason!!! Thank God! There aint a female MD in our place! Else, it would have been symphony saree,

  I heard that the preludes and interludes of 'thanga magan indru' (Baadshah) are also from some Symphony. The music sounded wonderful, so it cannot be Deva's original stuff. Do you know anything about the original?

  Baadshah stuff is very definitely copied. I have heard it before and I probably have it in my collection. I am sorry I cannot recollect the original. It is probably by some baroque composer.

  Baadshah stuff is from Four Seasons by Vivaldi. The interesting part, Deva did a cut and paste and nobody actually played it from his group; similar to kenny G cut/paste from Kaalamellam Kaddal from 'Kaadal Kotai'.
