another raja movie for oscars...

Another movie with music by raja goes for the oscars!
Heyram is the indian movie for foriegn film category.other tamil movies thta were considered were barathy,sethu and ! kushi.

  I watched the movie three times, I know you can understand how hard it would have been! I would have done the same even if it wasn't Kamal(because I even watched the movies Thalaimurai, Peria Kudumbam, Pooveli etc.). Yet I did it, just for Raaja... the Great Raaja.

  Screen play was good ,but i feel it lacked continuity but kamal has taken care of each and everything , for eg in one of the scenes when he is making prepartions of making the pistol to kill gandhi , u can listen to the marghazi masam early morning bhajans, note gandhi was killed on jan 30 so how apt it is

  neega solarathu ellam effects and props...he has taken care of all this, but failed care about the poor audience.

  The movies you listed might have better screenplay. But I am sure the Oscar committee would have already seen Mrs.Doubtfire, Tootsie, Innocent Man, Rainman and a few James Bond movies. I think originality counts at least in Oscar.

  did i say all of them deserved oscar...anywhere :))
  
  However, i am still searching for a reason why american beauty was given an oscar in many departments?, only reason i see it the world "american" present in it.
  
  comparing this "junk" with heyram...heyram is 100000 times better in many departments.

  What I was driving at is: Screenplay of Hey Ram is at least more original than avvai shanmugi, vikram, mahanadhi etc...
  
  BTW, I have seen more ordinary movies like Shakespeare in Love, English Patient, Silence of the Lambs etc winning Oscars. American Beauty at least showed the perversions in an average american family. It does not deserve that many Oscars, though.
